Information

Who's pulling these strings is who I want to talk to. A broad overview is that there was some kind of sickness, but people were comparing it to religion. Might have been some flavor of Christian, but a lot of evidence says it's not. Still some kind of apocalyptic death cult. So it's the same difference.

9/02 -A child’s prayer book. Only line legible: “He Who Chose Death walked before us.” -A half-empty box of matches, most damp but a few usable. -A charcoal message in an attic: “Don’t let them sing.”

9/03 -A family portrait. All faces scraped away with a blade. -A newspaper clipping: “Strange Illness in Redbud Flats: residents weak, clinic advises rest.”

9/04 -A sermon scrap: “If they offer eternity, know their gift is prison.” -
A census scrap: *Population: 4,912 and-* (cut off mid-line).

9/05 -A hunting knife

9/06 -A baptism ledger. Last name violently scratched out. -A moth-eaten winter coat, still wearable.
